Shot

Yes.

You can still get the 'flu even if you smugly got your flu shot.

Back when I'm afebrile and I've got the energy.

This is one of the reasons that I never bother with the flu shot.

Also that I'm an adult, in relatively good health, who is unlikely to even need medical intervention to survive a round of the flu. And what's a few days of high temperatures, no energy, minor body aches, sinus misery (like that part is different from any other day?), and vomitting to not having to go to work? Who am I to argue with my body when it rebels?

Take care of yourself, sunflower. :)

Oh and by the by.... Blogger appears to be out of Beta now. Might be worth trying again... when you get the energy back.

Aww, hope you feel better soon. Those darn flu virus antigens just change too darn fast for the vaccine at times.

OH NO! Piffle's down! At least it's BEFORE the holidays. Hopefully Charles and the kids are either spared or they, too, get it over with now. No fun being sick on Christmas!!

FEEL BETTER!!

The very best on a speedy recovery. Remember, if you nose still smells stinky, you will survive.

Love from your original diagnostician, Dad.

Oh you poor fluish thing! I had my share 2 weeks ago, oh but I hate being sick!

You know what is interesting though? You Americans have loads of stomach virus, we don't. Why is that, do you think?

Hope you get better soon, poor, poor Diana.

Crap. That just bites. Stupid evil flu. Obviously it is because you read my posts and your body thought it would be fun to host its own plague party, right?

Get better soon, Ms D. I miss you when you're gone.

Oh! Poor Diana! I'm sorry that you're knocked down with the bug going around - I've heard it is a nasty one. I don't bother with the flu shot, but wonder this year. Working in a call center means that as soon as one person gets it, it goes around. I hope you feel better soon! You deserve to be healthy and happy and fully ready to enjoy the holiday!

Well, that sucks. I hope you feel better soon. Thank you for giving me something to send to my mom, who every single year asks me, "Did you get your flu shot? You should really get a flu shot. I got a flu shot." I've never gotten a flu shot, since I'm mostly not around people much, and I figure it's just one strain of the flu and I'd be really pissed off if I got the flu anyway. Plus, I don't want to pay people to stick a needle in me.
