Sibling Rivalry
I fear that someone is going to end up decapitated, amputated or blind.
As it is my lap that this is happening on and around, I fear that it will be me.
And, yes, they are truly playing.
Sigh.

Nothing much; just life, liberty and the pursuit of piffle.

my cat and dog play like that to! the only problem is that too many people who come around think one is trying to kill the other. there are times when they need to be separated, but it certainly keeps life interesting and me on my feet!
Omigod!!!!
I think the kitty actually has the upper hand (paw?).
Excellent fun- our kitties and dogs used "play"- it did occasionally get out of hand in which case we used the hose or water bottle which seemed to break it up pretty fast.
It is good they each have each other. Animals need to get a chance to play fight and it works better if they are close to the same age. My mom has 5 pets and the younger dog will try to play with the older dog, only to scare the older dog into my mom's lap.
I hope you don't get an injury in all the excitement!
Yikes! If that's what they look like when they are playing, I'm afraid to see how they look when they are fighting!
Oh, cute babies playing. I think, though, that the kitty will win every time.
Amy- Big welcomes! They do look serious, don't they?
Rozanne- She understands the value of having the high ground.
Stace- We have a water bottle with a "jet" nozzle at the ready. Works well.
Beth- I do thnk you are right about that. The older ones don't want this sort of shenannigans.
Colleen- Heh. Looks just the same, just much louder. The play is completely silent, until it goes too far.
List- Here's hoping! The kitty went from 2 to 2+1/4 lbs at today's vet visit. The pup gained 7 lbs and now is at 27 lbs total. That's just in 3 weeks, folks! (They're both 3 months.)
Oh! I am working on a post inspired by your talk of the babies wrestling and now this picture. Brings back so many memories.
I love watching dogs and cats or dogs and dogs or cats and cats play together. We want to get Eddy a kitten so he has someone to play with during the day (and perhaps there won't be the pathetic yowling when we're walking out the door).
Apparently I am the only one blogger denied when I tried to post a comment to this post... Blogger hates me.
I'm putting odds on the cat.
I'll place $50 on Madi-Cat kicking some serious puppy butt when the time comes.
Dana- Yes! That would be a good one! Poor lonely Eddy. It must be hard when your people are away.
Teri- Nope, it was blocking comments initially, then came to it's senses. Of course, it may well be out to get you, as well. Blogger is like that.
Christie- Wise woman, especially as the pup is now getting stuck under the furniture. Give her a week or 2 and she won't fit at all, giving kitty even more sanctuaries to leap out from.
Oh oh oh, you always do this! Then I always want to eat them, and then I cannot, which is rather vile!
YOU MEAN HAG.
[I'm sort of backish. *cheery wave!* How's the Old RFer? Love to all of you.]
Johnny- DAHLING! You're backish! (jig, jig)
Dad and his blood clot are in Hawaii, getting some sun. Asshole. (Actually, the trip was planned ages ago, and he and Cathy certainly deserve it, but still...) His leg and his head all are getting better.
